Questioning the unexamined life…

the end of society as we know it!

It’s not the best of times, so it must be the worst of times. Everyday we see more and more rampant disregard for morals and values that were held by our parents and grandparents. The signs are everywhere: rampant sexual deviancy, promiscuity, open homosexuality with no condemnation, incurable diseases unchecked, a separation of “godly influence” in the governmental proceedings  ,illegal immigrants moving in – refusing to learn our language – and sacking our capital…oh wait that was Rome during it’s final days, not America. And guess what, humanity survived – yes it was later described as “dark” times – and to be fair it was, mostly due to a lack of scientific knowledge and suppression of human rights. However, we can learn from our past. Instead of condemnation and a call for a return to the non-existent 1950’s idyllic era, we can choose to embrace fewer restrictions on non-traditional groups, more rationality, less rhetoric, more tolerance and peace towards our fellow man. Maybe I live in an idealist world, but we’ll never know unless we strive for progress and not regression.
